Alex, since you apparently read Rumanian, I recommend the wartime diary of Lt. av. Ion Dobran, published several years ago by Modelism.
It's an excellent insight of his feats and thoughts.

Ion Dicezare was discharged in March 1945. In 1948 he was arrested and imprisoned at Pitesti. After he was set free he worked in a mine near Oradea and then in a cement factory until 1970, when he retired to pension.

As for Dobran, read here: http://www.wolrdwar2.ro/arr/p003.htm

Ioan Dicezare doesn't wear the Iron cross ( he keeps it onto his pocket).
But he showes it to any that asks.

Then what is the black cross-like decoration on the bottom of his left pocket, on the above photo? laugh.gif

He told me that he was told that nobody wears it anymore-It's out of fashion.
But Nicolae Traian does wear it smile.gif
I understand that Germans are not alowed to wear the original with the swastica.

. Do you have a photo of the De Cezare from that time at Satlingrad ? I will add them to my collection.

You have some more I would greatly appreciate as I will print them out on photo quality.

ALEX

See Dicesare's profile at the pilots section.
