I have found a very interesting site regarding WWI: http://www.greatwardifferent.com/Great_War/index.htm
Among other interesting things, it contains a collection of articles from the British magazine 'The War Illustrated' some of which are related to Romania. 'Untold Chapters of Rumania's Tragic Story' by Hamilton Fyfe (from 'The War Illustrated' of 17 March 1917) 'The Rumanian Soldier as I Know Him' by Basil Clarke (from 'The War Illustrated' of 28 July 1917) 'My Memories of Bukarest and a Brave Queen' by Hamilton Fyfe (from 'The War Illustrated' of 23 March 1918) 'Smoke-Clouds of Destruction' by Hamilton Fyfe (from 'The War Illustrated' of 13 April 1918) I hope you will find them (as well as the remainder of the site) equally interesting for providing contemporary information about various WWI aspects and events. |
