Dragos, I can't identify the truck in the photo, but the same illustration appears in Osprey's edition "Germany's Eastern Front Allies 1941- 45" with the caption:
"Rumanian troops drag their antiquated vehicles through the mud in a scene typifying the primitive conditions of the Eastern Front." The obvious balloon tires and open cabs appear no more "antiquated" than many Soviet vehicles of the period :mad: and not even all U.S. vehicles had enclosed cabs at this time. How "primitive" can these trucks be? I'd be even more interested in the illustrated trailers and pontoons-- were these elements of a bridging company? Were the trailers to a standard pattern, like the German? Diego P.S. Osprey attributes the photo to Signal (presumably the German WWII propaganda mag.). |

Dragos,I can't see the scan,But The truck in P24 of "Germany's Eastern Front Allies 1941- 45" is Austro-Daimler ADGR 2.5ton 6x4 truck.
This front part is specific to Austro-Daimler, Mihai
