Economu was a small guy. The pilot in the picture looks like a tall guy. |

What makes you think this airman actually flew '43a'? Any airman (and not only) could strike a pose in front of any aircraft... BTW, I don't see the pilot's cloth patch on his left sleeve, or any rank symbols. Does anyone know the fate of this particular airplane? Gen. Dénes P.S. The pilot doesn't seem to me to look like Economu. This post has been edited by Dénes on December 11, 2005 02:36 am |

Well he has flying boots.
I don't think he borowed some pilot's boots just for a photo... Btw,who's Razvan Bujor? |

There is no doubt that he is an airman (I noted that). All I questioned is how does C-no know that he was the pilot of '43a'. Gen. Dénes |

He was a former military pilot after the war, flying also on IL-28s. C-no can give you more info. Razvan is a highly experienced modeller (making many large scale models from scratch) and W.W. 1 enthusiast. Gen. Dénes This post has been edited by Dénes on December 11, 2005 05:21 pm |
