Hello,
I am new here, I am very impressed with the base of knowlege and nice collections posted here, Romanian military history is fairly obscure in the US. I have little Romanian militaria (One Romanian contract Vz24, and a couple modern-era pins), but am interested in learning more about the history. Does anyone know anything regarding the availability of I.O.R. manufactured rifle scopes which would have been fitted to Vz24 sniper rifles, fielded by Romania post WWII? They are similar to a Russian PEM 38 sight. The rifles themselves are available here from time to time, but scopes are difficult to locate, as are original upper mounts/rings. I hope to reassemble one of these rifles if possible. Thank you! Jeff Attached is is a photograph of the sight and mount in question: |
