Am in need of the commanding generals of the 2 Vanotori divisions that existed in World War I. Anyone know them, or know where I might find them? Rich |

The commanders of the 1st Rifle (Vanatori) Division: • January-May 1918 – Brigadier general Ioan Rascanu; • October 1918 – December 1919 – Brigadier general Aristide Leca. The 2nd Rifles (Vanatori) Division: • January – May 1918 – Brigadier general Aristide Leca; • October 1918 – August 1919 – Brigadier general Gheorghe Dabija; • August - December 1919 – Brigadier general Constantin Serbescu. |

1. Various decrees of the “Army Monitor” (“Monitorul Oastei”); 2. Yes. General Gheorghe Dabija was also the author of the impressive study “The Romanian Army in the World War (1916-1918)", published in 4 volumes during the 1930s. |

What happened to these 2 Hunters Divisions after end of WW1 ? I think they were later included in the new Hunters Corps. Maybe somebody can provide more details (dates, commanders, etc.). Thank you. |
