Was there an airfield near Calarasi?
It seems there used to be an aeroclubul, see Orizont Aviatic number 3, 2003?
If yes where was/is its location?

It is one, for An2 and Ka26 (?). Another 3-4 An-2 and one Ka, i saw them activating from grason the oposite side of the airfield, over the road and from the "poligon" to the Slobozia.

Thanks Iama!

I think I see it, with beton apron, 1 km north, is not it? That is definiteley a post war agrochemical aerodrome. I am looking for the post WW2 aerodrome where russian two engine bomber(?) aircraft were once based, I was told.
Have you of someone from Calarasi heard or know about it?
I would be very interested to learn if that is true.

Thank you Iama!

What kind of units were/are at the other side of the road at the poligon/barracks, any formerly related with aviatii?

There was an "radiolocatie" unit with some radars, and one guard of the aeroport small unit - a platoon i think. My uncle has doing his military service at radars, i will ask him if those aeroport guard guys where based in that unit or at the aeroport.
In the present from what i heard, radar military unit is empty.

Thanks Iama

Do you know anything about an airfield (formerly) near Calarasi, Moldova?
I have only heard some soviet avia unit was near a town with that name, obviously there is a town with that name more north also.
