Hello all!
Can anyone tell me something about the war activity in the region of Slobozia, the actual capital of Ialomita District?

I read a book when i was younger. I remember about a motorized column of germans in aprox. 23 August 1944 and some fights at "fabrica de caramida" with romanian army and armed workers for our side.

I would be interested in any info you have about the fights around Slobozia or any fights shortly before and after August 23, 1944. Please post the info. here, or PM me if you wish.
