Has anybody seen the following site, which contains a chapter on the Red Army's occupation of Basarabia in June 1940. (It is in Russian, which I definitely cannot read.)

http://militera.lib.ru/research/meltyukhov/05.html

Cheers,

Sid.

Hi Guys,

I see the link is not working.

Try typing "meltyukhov" into Google. It is the first site to come up.

CORRECTION!!!!!!

I gave the link to the wrong chapter.

It should be:

http://militera.lib.ru/research/meltyukhov/06.html

The chapter list is at:

http://militera.lib.ru/research/meltyukhov/index.html

Try using an online translator like http://www.online-translator.com/text.asp?lang=en It gives an approximate translation, but most of the time it is more than enough. The only problem is that it cannot translate texts that are too long. But on fragments it works OK.

Also a translator for blocks of max 150 words:

Hi Carol I and Dani,

Many thanks. I will give them a try.
