At this link http://www.arcanum.hu/mol/ one can find very interesting documents (photocopies after originals from XVIII century, for example) from different periods regarding Hungary and parts of Transylvania. I used the option "search" and I found references (an original page) about one of my ancestors http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=4084 from XVIIIth century, my previous info based on personal research were dating from 1680. The nowaday info aquired via hungarian archives told me that my ancestor was alive 35 years later, in 1715. biggrin.gif

Available languages on hungarian online archives are hungarian and latin.

Have fun and good luck! smile.gif

I cannot understand a word.
Any help?
If I'm looking for a certain family name?

I can help you, as I can speak some hungarian, and for sure Denes can do more than me smile.gif

Or you can enter the searched family name at "Kereses" (search) field and after that push "mehet" (that means "go").

Very interesting!
I have searched the names of my ancestors there, in hungarian spelling and I have found mentions about them.
From around 1700 for my father lineage (it seems that his ancestors came in Arad county in Transylvania from Croatia or Slovakia) and from around 1200 for my mother lineage (it seems that her's ancestors were local gentry in Hunedoara county, because they were mentioned about selling lands).
