i am looking for more informations (description, photo, links ...) about the airplane S.E.T. 7 (not S.E.T. 7k !!) manufactured after 1930, in service on 17 July 1933.
i found in some papers a statement like that: S.E.T. 7:23 No.6.

thanks in advance.

Ionionescu, would you be so kind to post the information (text and images) from the book related to the other SET 4 and 7 models, if available and at hand? I'm especially interested by SET 7K and its hydroplane version(s).

Thank you!

Agarici, this is all I could find about S.E.T.-4 and S.E.T.-7 models, unfortunately there is no S.E.T.-7K hydroplane in the book.
If you need something else just ask and I will post it.
Regards!

Dear Ionionescu, I think this is first rate and primary importance information for this site. Thank you very much!

Please do post anything you consider being of relevance for Romanian aviation history. Thanks again!

unfortunately there is no S.E.T.-7K hydroplane in the book.

There was no S.E.T. 7 'hydroplane', only S.E.T. 4H seaplane, and even those were eventually fitted with classic landing gear.

Except for that one presented in a photo from the book, a few posts above? unsure.gif

That's a S.E.T. 4H, and later it received wheels instead of floats.

Do you mean that the information from the book is wrong?

I stand corrected (I relied on my memory). The S.E.T. 7H prototype did exist (there were actually two).

However, the main seaplane series, the S.E.T. 4H, was indeed eventually modified to landplane configuration, as noted earlier - type not mentioned in the book.

Guys

I am new to this web site (although Denes knows who I am)
Without offending anyone, why is everyone referring to the old book about Romanian aircraft construction and not the new one published by Dan and George in 2006?

http://www.dantoniu.go.ro/articles_en.htm

Since I don't have any of them wink.gif, who am I to complain, but just curious I guess... rolleyes.gif

So talking about the "new" book (published in 2006), can anyone enlighten me why you (read Romanina publisher) publish such a book in English and not at the same time market it in any of the major English bookshops?

I suppose getting it now is pretty hopeless sad.gif

Just as hopeless as getting the IAR 80 book in French. I simply don't get any answers from this Hernandez guy, no matter how many e-mails I send. I have simply given up on that guy.... mad.gif

Cheers
Stig Jarlevik, Sweden
PS: I don't speak or read any Eastern European language, so I must say this is one h..l (sorry headmaster) of a good idea to use the English language on a web like this biggrin.gif

Hi
Interresting information.
Can any one tell me more concerning the Hydro versions S.E.T. 4 and 7?
Did they used special designed floats or did they use them from existing aeroplanes?
And if so, from which type of aeroplane did they used the floats?
Are there more pictures of these floats S.E.T. aeroplanes?
Thanks Jjr.
