Can anyone provide information on the "Carol II Cup" air race (Romania tour), names of pilots who took part, the type of airplanes etc.
I have not much details, I only know Lt. Nicolae Ticulescu (my grandfather)competed, maybe in 1936, I do not know exactly.

Some information about the "Carol II Cup" held on 5 June 1934, found in the Aeronautica 1934 magazine, the article is written by Cpt. George Botez, one of the competitors.

The following crews have competed, all with Potez XXV:

- Cpt. Cdor. Mândrescu – Lt. C-dor.Georgescu Laurentiu
- Lt. Cdor Mihai Pantazi – Cpt. George Botez
- Cpt. Ruţa – Lt. Gross Mihail
- Cpt. Negrescu I. – crew officer Marghiu Victor
- Cpt. Nichifor – crew officer Perial
- Lt. Ostapov – Lt. Bratti
- Cpt. Bratu Aurel – Lt. Taţius
- Cpt. Coş – Cpt. Radu Nicodim

The route, cca. 1700 km, was:
BuzauBalcicChisinauCernauti – Bistrita – OradeaCluj - Brasov – Bucuresti
With bold were the mandatory landings, and mandatory identification flight over Bistrita and Brasov airfields.

The following crews arrived at Bucharest:
- Cpt. Cdor. Mândrescu – Lt. C-dor.Georgescu Laurentiu
- Lt. Cdor Mihai Pantazi – Cpt. George Botez
- Cpt. Bratu Aurel – Lt. Taţius
- Lt. Ostapov – Lt. Bratti
- Cpt. Coş – Cpt. Radu Nicodim
