Can someone help me with pictures, details about Ju-88A-4 nr.142 in ARR? Working on a model 1/32 with this registration and I need more details. Thanks in advance, Florin |

I posted before here photos of a real Ju-88D. Maybe some details could be useful for your Ju-88A The links are http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=2475&st=30 http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=2475&st=45 |

That Ju88 is badly repainted and the markings are spurious. No Romanian Ju 88 wore such crosses - actually I am not aware of any Romanian aircraft wearing that type of misshaped cross. The aircraft was flown across the Atlantic (the only Ju88 to ever do so) by an American crew. By that stage, the aircraft was repainted and wore large US insignia. http://aircraftresourcecenter.com/Rev1/201-300/Rev235-Cutting-Edge-CED48222/00.shtm After it arrived in America it was repainted a few times until the current inaccurate scheme was applied. This aircraft is also featured (among others) in Phil Butler's "War Prizes" book, but the original markings are still unknown. Hth, Radu |

Originally, it was white (or yellow) 1. There are photos of this bird in Cyprus, where the ARR number is seen on the tail. Gen. Dénes |

Unfortunately, nothing useful. These details are general, I am interested in particular, no. 142, and the only picture available so far, I have made available by Cantacuzino. I wonder why fuselage sees only part of the German code. image source"Aripi Romanesti" |

Interesting. The W.Nr. is mentioned in a few sources, but no mention of the original aircraft number. Florin and Petre, Scorpio is building an A-4 model. The D-1 was quite different and Scorpio would have quite a job in converting his model. Hth, Radu |
