WorldWar2.ro Forum > Awards & Badges > romanian medal Good or fake?? |
Posted by: rafaelega February 06, 2011 01:16 pm |
Good morning. I wonder if this medal is a good one or fake, because does not have the designer name "P.Grant" under de female head in the rear of the medal. Also wish to know if the battle names are good or fake. Thanks a lot, Rafaelega |

Welcome to the Forum. The medal itself is OK. There is a known variant of the Crusade against Communism medal that does not have "P. Grant" beneath the head. I do not have enough experience of the battle bars to comment on their authenticity - except to say that the lower 2 are of the size that would be worn on a miniature version of this medal. That does seem a little odd. |

Thanks a lot Tyke. I also think that the two bars at the botton does not fit this medal. Best regards. Rafaelega |

There are 8 + variations of this medal depending on which manufacture made them. |

I only know 3: Romanian with Grant Romanian without name under German model ( metal is more slim and the part where the cercle from the ribbon, is a bit diffrent. Also : The ribbon is 2 models: Romanian wide 3.5 or 4 cm German slim 2.5 |
