| Well, i guess it's for culture. I think the ribbon lost it's original colours who were blue and black meaning it was awarded for merits in sports or physical education. |

| There were 8 ribbon types for this medal, each for a different domain. Yours may also be for "social works". |

| There were actually 9 ribbon types for the Order for Cultural Merit. The section on Straja Ţării introduced in 1937 is usually overlooked. |
