| hello members, my friend in Austria has got a interesting combat knife, that is older literature determined as sowjetunion, but in russian forums no one accept this opinion, it looks more like a french inspired type with leather scabbard, its believed a east Europe area piece, probably WW1 period, his piece have inscribed probably capturing note of german owner "Gefr.Siegel R.57" Thanks for any help,best regards,Andy http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/4108/messern.jpg |

| Unfortunally knife is not german origin as there are not confirmed in the area. And german collectors ask the question on various forums. |
