Hello! Need help in reading the Dog Tag, when applying the data probably was an error and multiple stamp in my Interpretation reads as follows:
R 1 or 31 D (Regiment 1 or 31 Dorobanti ???)
M 125 (ID number) ?
1939 (Year of recruitment) ?
Am I wrong or not? The fact is that if I have correctly decoded the soldiers belonged to the 2nd Infantry Division. Dog Tag found near Odessa, but I know the 2nd Infantry Division did not conduct combat operations in the district of Odessa.

hello!
I found this quarter of a romanian( I think) dog tag. Can anybody confirm it's romanian or maybe make a partial ID from the writing? It's "No42284 A" and the number "5" wich i think it's the last from a bigger number wich was written on the side that I didn't find.
Can you tell me if it's a good ideea to send the picture to www.once.ro? Maybe they can ID something and tell the news to some relatives that don't know anything about their missing grandparent/brother etc.
thank you!
