Dear Collectors! The subject of the photo underneath the cartridge Mauser often caught among the shells on the Romanian military positions near Odessa, he was made of copper / brass. What is it?

It's one of the fixing points from a Mosin Nagant m1891 hand guard. The Mosin Nagant m1891 was also used by the Romanian second line units.
