Was this tank really different to the 35 (t) as used by the Germans? I am collecting some Romanian model soldiers and want some tank models to use with them in Wargames, no one makes 20mm R2s so I was wondering if it was possible to use 35 (t)s.

The Romanian army also used Lt 35 with the engine modifications applied to the R2.

At the exterior the only differences between the R2 and Lt 35 were changes made to the rear of the turret and the engine compartment, also the side armored was made from two pieces (at R2) instead of one (Lt 35).

Shell Hole Scenics, in the UK, make a metal 20mm R2 it is 6.50 pounds sterling + shipping. Escii used to make a 1/72nd scale LT35 you may be able to mind an old kit. Cheers biggrin.gif
