The last from Eduard's I-16 trilogy. This aircraft was the first captured by ARR during Barbarossa in 1941. It was repaired, and then flown for training most of the time by Cpt.Av. Popescu-Ciocanel. It was destroyed in a hard landing in september 1941. But you already know it all. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29247&st=0 http://www.cartula.ro/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=48&g2_itemId=49846 |

That's an excellent model. I especially like the grime underneath. My take on the history of the real captured I-16 is that the Romanian Pilot realized it was junk compaired to our I.A.R. 80's and purposly crashed it so no one else could fly it. |
