More about this book. I ll post in Romanian.

I have the book, bought from book fair at Cercul Militar Bucuresti. It is very interesting and i'm glad that so many people put interest in collaborating with the autors, helping with data and pictures.

Congratulation!!...imo it is an important piece completing the road of publications on ARR history.

Posted by: muggs October 28, 2011 02:02 pm
Can it be bought also from the small bookshop there ?

Posted by: Mihai Popteanu November 11, 2011 08:09 pm

I just read the book. It's a book that deserves all the attention from the aviation history enthusiasts. Very well documented .
Congratulations to the authors!

I ordered it online but for some reason i never got a confirmation or the book...will try to go and pick it up personally.

The book is already sold out.

Here you can read the review made by Acad. Florin Constantiniu in ,,Istorie si Civizilatie" magazine (nr. 30/March 2012). Unfortunately, he passed away on 14 April 2012. We have the deepest respect for him.

I know one of the autors. Sorin Turturica is a very good historian of romanian aviation. I don't know who is Alexandru Arma, I never heared about him.

Good news! There are strong chances that this autumn the book "Missions of sacrifice" will be republished in an updated version.

This is the question.

BTW Mr. Focsa, I expect from you a ,,real book" about Dan Vizanty written by yourselef not by Dan Vizanty and Ana Maria Vizanti.

Mr. Focsa, when you will publish your first book, let us know...

If you can write one...

Can you? That's the question...

Mr. Focsa, I like what you said here about me. Anyway, if you don't know who is Alex Arma, you don't know much about who is writing aviation history in Romania. Just read his last book about 1943 Ploiesti Raid (the other author of this book is Valeriu Avram)

Posted by: Vranceanu June 02, 2013 07:46 pm
Why you attack me so fast, I only asked if the mayor of Rosiorii de Vede, who has written the introduction to your book in 2008, will write again for the second volume.

I remember the same year, in 2008, I was publishing a book with an introduction written by Neagu Djuvara.

This is the... answer.

Mr Focsa I don't know why do you insist in your stupid "vendetta " with Sorin Turturica and what do you want to prove. With your every action against Sorin Turturica you just show us your frustration. I think you are jealous on his work, especially on his last book - ,,Aviatoarele Romaniei". If you want to prove something, writte a better book if you can. If no see of your business and let us to do our job.

PS> I remember you also that in the introduction of your book ,,Dan Vizanty. Destinul unui pilot de vânătoare", Mr Neagu Djuvara gave you a history lesson about 23 august 1944 events. I qoute from you book: ,,Vine însă dramatica zi de 23 august 1944. (p.10).

Posted by: Vranceanu June 02, 2013 09:14 pm
Did I said something about "Aviatoarele Romaniei ?"
I didn't read this book, so how can be "gelous" ? Believe me, I couldn't be gelous to a book written by Mr Turturica smile.gif

About Neagu Djuvara, yes, he didn't agree my vision about 23 august, so what ? He liked my book and has written 6 pages of introduction. I was honoured evan by his critics.

But do you really know what a book is ? A good one ? Do you ever heard about analysis, synthesis, critical thinking ? All you have written since now are chains of facts and documents, very very boring like style, which in fact, doesn't exist in your books.
I recomand you to read some historians like Charles Diehl or Steven Runciman to see what is really a history book.

Think of Alex Kdl and how attention was the fuel that kept the fire burning. Cut off the fuel supply. It may burn for a while, then smoulder, but eventually it will fizz and wither to a faint puff.

Wishful thinking... "What we have here is failure to communicate" (and so on)...
There are two guys in here crossing (s)words, so I'd think a moderator should step in.

New cover, some text updates and new photos...and the same price.

I think Mr Denes asked in what consist more precisely the text updates... I don't think somebody is interested to buy the same book for a new cover (evan the cover includes Florin Constantiniu's applaudations for the authors....).

Well, sorry I don't post something of value. I am too busy to publish history books, so I am quite rare on forums.
