Hello,

I have been trying to find a biography of King Carol I, ideally in English. Does such a book exist?

Thank you for your help.

Peter

Thanks for both of your comments.
There seems to be more published about Carol II. than Carol I. But I am still grateful for any info on a biography on Carol I.

Right! First comissar, then general (Averescu), then prince, now king! What next? Obama? Or directly God?
There was a joke once of a remake of "Pistruiatul" made by Divertis Group: in the role of Pistruiatul, S. N., in the role of the comissar, S. N., in the role of the communist, S. N., in the role of the lady-teacher, S. N., in the role of the parents, S. N. (double role), and finally, in the role of S. N., Ioan Gyuri Pascu! laugh.gif
BTW, the chronicles seem to praise him again. I'm curious if it's worthy, this time...

There is Paul Lindberg's biography of Carol I, but it is a pretty subjective one, since the author was close to the King and the Royal Family. An enjoyable read though.

Thank you for the link and the Lindberg book.
