I am looking for the book titled something like: "AUTOVEHICULE in ARMATA ROMANIEI". Published in early 2000s. Can anybody give me the precise title, author(s) and publishing house?

Thanks,

I think it's the first one.
Apparently, Képi has (access to) a copy:

Glad to be of help. I may skim-read it too, pehaps even use some data for my work - about the "flimsy" motorisation of 1940.

I'm also looking for this book. Does anyone know where I can find a copy (for sale, to borrow or anything)? My local library does not have this book and I can't seem to find it for sale on the web. I'm also interested if anyone read other books by Tiberiu S. Urdareanu (except for Jurnal 1978-1988, which I already own) like

- Cărările destinului, 2001
- Asigurarea tehnică de blindate și autotractoare 1980
- Mobilitatea trupelor, 1984
- Eșaloanele de transport în luptă, 1987
- Factorul tehnic în războaiele României moderne, 1994
- Transportorul blindat, 1973

and how much info about the Romanian equipment is in those books.

Mircea87,
I have the same interest as you in this direction, but you seem more advanced than me by reading Tiberiu S. Urdareanu -Jurnal 1978-1988- which I didn't! Do you have this book, can I found something interesting in there? If you believe it worth the money can you make me a copy and I'll pay for it! Only if it's something interesting there!
Thanks!

Mircea87,

Urdareanu's journal is useful for if you want an insight of the tank/armored vehicles development program during 1978-1988, but it's not really what I was hoping for. Not that many years, technical stuff and numbers I was searching for. The book has over 600 pages and I'd say about 50 pages (scattered) are about things that I was interested in. The rest is, well, the journal of a general (things like Danube-B.Sea channel, agricultural works, auto accidents, inspections, meetings, foreign visits and so on). I'm not really interested in those particular details to be honest; someone else might be though. This book, together with dr. Petre Opris' books about Warsaw Pact and this book that I'm searching for right (Autovehicule...) now can probably answer a lot of questions about armored vehicles used by Romania.

An interesting thing is that the pictures from this book seem to have weird descriptions like all the time. Either mr. Urdareanu was really old when the book was published and did not remember things well (he was 60 in 1989), either someone (the editor?) did not properly identify those vehicles. The photos are also rather small...bummer.

I actually bought this book to use it as a source for my wikipedia articles about Romanian armor or armor used by Romania. I will update the articles with information from this book soon so that the interesting stuff will be available for anyone (in Romania, that is, and using proper citations, of course). That being said, I think photocopying the book is not worth the money (will cost probably ~70 lei to photocopy it and send it to you, it has over 622 pages) if you're interested in what I'm interested. But, if you ever find this book, buy it because it's a valuable asset overall.

Thanks for the informations, Mircea87!
Indeed I am much more interested about our army endowment with armor and vehicles, and only in very small measure in other things like those you mention that are detailed in this book! Thanks for the tip, and wait with interest for your posts on wikipedia!
