WorldWar2.ro Forum > Eastern Front (1941-1944) > Romanian visit to Volgograd

Posted by: Bennett February 06, 2009 09:43 pm
A few years ago I received pictures from a Volgograd friend of a visit to the Stalingrad Battlefield by Romanian government officials and clergy of the Romanian Orthodox Church at that time, say 2003??
I seem to recall that these pictures and words indicated they had received the remains of appox 700 Romanian soldiers for reburial.
I have since lost these pictures and text. Does anyone have information concerning that Romanian visit to Volgograd or guidance about how one might find out about this event? My attempts from over here have as yet produced no information.
