Recently, several wargraves of Hungarian soldiers were found in Ukraine, in Galicia.
One of the deceased soldiers is named Simon Kimpian, who was probably of Rumanian origin (Simion Câmpian?):

Simon Kimpian indeed sounds romanian, could be a Simion Câmpean or Câmpian. I met this name frequently in Bihor and related areas from Arad.

Were the locals aware of them, or they were discovered during an architectural job or during some installation of underground electric or gas feeders?
