Actually the Kalmuk steppe is south of Stalingrad, where the 4th Army was. The attack there was on 20 November. |

Sorry, but I considered the whole as the Kalmuk Steppe... The Russians attacked with how much tanks at the Don's bend? I heard 600... 50 of them were lost on a minefield in the first day...

The stat is from Third Axis, Fourth Ally... And the Romanians didn't have enough mines for a good defense... Imagine if we had the mines, and the AT weapons... Only that would have suffised to thrwo back the Soviets! If it wasn't of those horrible tanks, we would have won! Getu' |

Those were not the only things that were lacking. A good supply system and more reserves would have been also necessary. It was not so simple. |
