Romanian helmets

General de brigada Group: Members Posts: 1079 Member No.: 198 Joined: January 18, 2004	In the first three photos provided, you have three distinctly different cloth helmet covers. Each, have a different square size mesh pattern from large squares to small squares. There is no consistantcy as to what was issued or worn during WW2. The paint should be khaky green.

then i'l paint my helmet khaky green (i'l go to the local modeling store for modeling paint)

Also " Olive green " it's not a correct description. The green color of romanian helmets had some yellow mixed in. The Khaky color doesn't always involve brownish shade (only the polish one).

I think that RLM 62 is too brown and too light, it needs to be a bit greener and darker.

PS This is my opinion, but the color differs from computer to computer, only a real sample matched with a originally painted helmet would reveal the closest match (and outside on an sunny day).
