In the first three photos provided, you have three distinctly different cloth helmet covers. Each, have a different square size mesh pattern from large squares to small squares. There is no consistantcy as to what was issued or worn during WW2.

i'm new here i'm from belgium and i started to collect romanian items for re-enacting i have bought me an dutch helmet that i want to use for romanian re-enacting my question is in what colour should i paint my helmet thanks |

then i'l paint my helmet khaky green (i'l go to the local modeling store for modeling paint) thanks for the answers |

I believe 'khaki green' is an incorrect description of the colour, as it would involve a brownish shade, which was clearly not the case.

In my oppinion, the closest match is RLM 62 from Testors' Model Master II series.

Also " Olive green " it's not a correct description. The green color of romanian helmets had some yellow mixed in. The Khaky color doesn't always involve brownish shade (only the polish one). |

I think that RLM 62 is too brown and too light, it needs to be a bit greener and darker. PS This is my opinion, but the color differs from computer to computer, only a real sample matched with a originally painted helmet would reveal the closest match (and outside on an sunny day). |
