For Forum Admin. question : Why when i wrote letter B automaticaly transform in smiling face emoticon. I am sorry for this incovenient technical problem wich i posted toghether with some names of the crews B from bombardier.

The rest of the 9 unindentified bodies burried in Campina Cemetery were from the crews of the 2 B-24 shot down near Campina Sand-Witch and Eager -Eagle. 4 from Sandwitch ( 1POW Zerrill J.Steen Jr. -TT) Charles T.Hull (CP) Richard B. Krug (N) Jack E. Smith ® Mack H.Smith (TG) 5 from Eager Eagle (from the crew were 2 POW –Edmond H.Smith –WG and Thomas A.Hoff –TG ) Lloyd D.Hughes (P) Ronald H.Helder (CP) Louis M.Kase ® Joseph E. Mix (TT) Avis K.Wilson (TB) Total = 9 americans, among them the "Medal Of Honour" Lloyd. Hughes heros. |

And below the wrecks of Sand-Witch on the river bed near Campina. One wing hit the trees near the river .

Hard to say, but that bridge culd help if we can find it ( and make pictures) Cip, maybe we can go toghether in weekend to check (If it's sunny day). |

These are great photos and follow ups, I will look into my database regarding the other crews.....,Nicholos Stampolis ( JOSE CARIOCA),Bakker and his crew, as well EUROCLYDON crews who fell in the area appears not to be in your records...where are they burried? Like I said before 168 unindentified body were burried in Ploesti Heroes Cemetery. Among them are crews from Jose Carioca, Euroclydon etc. But most of them fell on targets ( refinerries and building from the city) and the bodies were probably desintegrated in many parts and the Tags indentification was not found by the romanian authority. |
