Here the a German A/A flack battery, what strikes me is that the soldiers have on their helmets the insignia of the French Brigade , which according to my knowledge were not very active in Roumania

I have a map (from Romanian archives) with all the palnes (american, romanian and german) crashed to Tidal Wave. It's too large and it's a very difficult to scan. It's interesting that on this map are pointed only 34 B-24's wrecks

Bellow shows the photo at Pipera 62 Escadrila 6 De Vanatoare as Tidalwave raid alarm just sounded....round crews and pilots run to the aircraft....the book fails to say on most of the photos especially those from Roumania,,,who are the sources...the book say that the Roumania amd Luftwaffe loses on that day were :

Alex,
be aware not all the pictures are related to Tidal Wave.

This picture with alarm at Pipera ( 6FG) was taken in 1944. The IAR 81C (nr344,) were not produced in summer 1943.

The map that I mentioned is from Romanian archives. It's original from Tidal Wave
because this map is in an official rapport from Presedentia Consiliului de Ministri
