.... but Ford looks good too. The trucks are owned by a restoration firm, named OLDTIMER Studio.

I'm happy that not all WWII trucks were sold to foreigners in the 90's.
Do you know if the trucks were bought from Romania?

Are there any more WWII trucks in Romania? I saw once a, few years, ago a Russian Ford truck restored do you know anything about it?

Both of theme are in Romania from '30s, Opel was in Sibiu (registration plates OS xxxx "Orasul Stalin" today Brasov) and Ford is from Bucharest. I don't know any other trucks, sorry only this one (from Recas fire brigade) in plus ....

Additional ID details.
Half tracks are not my thing.
ADGR built especially for Romania.
Steyr 220
Std light cross country car KFZ1 built by BMW amongst others.
Behind that car is a Tatra T93 built for Romania
Next is another few Tatra T93 vehicles
And, of course, the VW.

One last addition; the truck behind the light command car KFZ1 is a Praga RV (look at the radiator and windows).

It could be a unit symbol. Take a look at the discussion in the thread on “All terrain” commandment and liaison vehicles.

Mihnea: I stand corrected on the Praga, sorry.
Automobilia: I find it very hard to tell the difference between a 200 and a 220 as I think the major difference was the engine, not the coachwork and the photo we are seeing is not very helpful. Anyway, we have the marque correct biggrin.gif

220 is longer than 100/200 , and has other types of wheels (with "heart" holes), wheelcaps, side panels of the engine compartment, front grill.

I know that is off topic but I can't resist , I must to present you one of the most beautiful pictures from my collection (18Mai1919-Calimanesti-with a signature Petcu)

How should one read the registration number on the side of the truck? What does M.R. stand for? What about the D. right above the number 2746?

It was a “Serviciu de Autobrancarde” (“Motor-stretcher Service”) which was coordinated by Queen Mary. In 1917 it was installed at Onesti. Her cipher was painted on the vehicles sides. It was equipped with several dozens of motor vehicles.
M.R. could mean "Ministerul de Razboi" ("Ministry of Defence")
