All,

It's very simple:
Use a magnifying glass and maybe you ll see the plane's number. Then I can identify the plane and its pilot. |

From what I have it could be Lt.Col Ion Sandu commander of the 1st FG or another pilot who`s name is not mentioned.

Thank you, for the 1st productive reply. It reminded me to look
into Vantorul IAR-80. In there is mentioned that Capt Cdor Sandu Ion was lost on combat near Stefanesti, I suspect it rather with the Russians rather than with the 15th AF because the 52nd FG specified their area as NW. I read something about Lt.Adj.Av.Dimache who bailed out......but of course I am just guessing as he bailed out near Ilfov which is NE Thanks anyways Alex This post has been edited by yugit on January 29, 2012 01:11 pm |
