All I found so far is that the Red Army entered the city at around mid-October 1944. Reportedly, there were no heavy fights, only sporadic skirmishes.

Hmmm....Carei is close to Marghita, maybe 30 km I don't know for sure, and Carei was liberated sometimes around 25 october 1944 so I would have rather guessed that the red army entered Marghita in october. Thanks for the info Dénes This post has been edited by ^All^ on September 28, 2007 04:55 pm |
