JRS-79B1 no.224

Soldat Group: Members Posts: 7 Member No.: 657 Joined: August 28, 2005	Hello, Does someone know, where would be possible to find photos or painting schema of JRS-79B1 no.224, this plane was destroyed during the crash landing at 21st april 1945 near Banovce in Slovakia. Well known Lt.av. Eusebie Hladiuc was the member of the crew. Thank you very much for your possible answer regards George Cernosek

General Medic Group: Hosts Posts: 2453 Member No.: 19 Joined: June 23, 2003	Acording to Hladiuc,one eangine was dead and they were afraid to let the bomb load out,because of a case that the bombs fell on soviet troops and the crew were court martial. They landed with the bombs and one crew member died and other were wonded. Sorry,didn't find any photo on 224... This post has been edited by C-2 on May 24, 2006 12:17 pm

It is very interesting because I deal with this plane in connection with the one event, which has happened in the same day. 21st april 1945 fell a few bombs to small village named Slavicin in the southeast of Moravia, The Czech republic. These bombs hit some houses in this village and some peple died. Nobody has known, as if the plane was german, Russian or romanian. But we suggested, that The plane could have be a No.224 because the village is located on the line of flight this bomber and we found out anything other planes in this area. it seesms, that you know Mr. Hladiuc, so I want to petition you, If you will be so kind and wrote me what Mr. Hladiuc told you about this unhappy accident. They were afraid to drop the bombs,and made a landing with only one eangine and with the bomb load. The plane crashed ,one crew member (a guner I belive) his brain was all over the place after hitting a armour plate. The others (exept one maybee) were wonded. Hladiuk himself had some broken bones. They were lucky the plane didn't explode. They were taken to a field hospital by soviet sanitars who were women. That was the end of the war for mr H. As far as I know him,I don't belive he'd let his bombs on an "uninvolved" village. He's one of the best guys I met. I'll try calling him tomorow to ask for more details and maybee a photo. The problem is that he doesn't hear well.Otherwise he's in great shape.
