Have a handmarked XXXX Panzer Korps map of the Konstantinowskoje region on the River Don. Doing research on it and have found a map in Paul Carells' Stalingrad on page 69. It has the korps hq marked in Tjapkin shows 3rd Pz in Konstantinowskoje and advances, 23rd Pz in Nikalajewskaja and advances as well as 29 mot. in Zymljanskaja and advances. Now, it also shows Grossdeutchland Division at Melichowskaja and advancing to Sswoboda on the Manyisch River. However, can't find this for sure in my resources. Can someone let me know if GD was here as part of XXXX Panzer or for support on the flank?
Thanks Rob |

I found this map in the Armes Militaria Magazine. I don't know if it helps.

RHaught,
When you have concerns and need information regarding German units, and German matters in general, www.feldgrau.com (actually www.feldgrau.net is the site of the forum) is to be preferred to this site. There are also other German sites, but I am not familiar with them. |
