Impressive effort, in time and money.
Who manufactures Romanian soldiers, other than Strelets? With vehicles I guess it is easier, as most of Romania's equipment was imported, and it could be found as models of foreign equipment. |

Nice effort and well done! I enjoyed the video.
Just a thought, have you tried shooting the pictures in black and white or sepia, then degrading them and selectively defocusing them in Photoshop? You would have to blend in the green base (the articifial grass) with the rest of the terrain, but I think you would come up with some realistic WWII-looking photos. I tried it with a very rudimentary set - just a couple of soldiers, some sand bags, and a tank, and yet it came out ok. Yours would look much better. |

Thank you for the idea! I will try it when I make more models for the army.

My local game store has been starting up 28mm World War 2. While I'm not ready to jump in yet, I've been looking for Romanian figures nonetheless (Finnish figures, easy to find - everyone wants to play the brave Finns fighting in the Winter War; Romanians and Hungarians? Forget it!). I managed to find this British manufacturer that has made a small range - a rifle squad (8 men), support weapons, an HMG team, and a 60mm mortar. Outpost Wargame Services Obviously the selection's somewhat limited. You're not going to be fielding a Romanian 75mm ATG using this stock. But it's better than nothing... which is what I've found everywhere else I've looked. |

I think it is a little bit too harsh, considering both Romanians and Hungarians. |

Nah... Just my cynicism showing through. In the West, at least, the Finns tend to garner a certain amount of sympathy. That, coupled with the fact that they're perceived to have held back the Soviet Juggernaut, tends to cause them to be fairly popular among those who look beyond the Major Powers. The Romanian and Hungarian roles in World War 2, in comparison, tend to get very little attention in the West. In fact, I suspect that most Americans are unaware that either country even fought in the war. |

Almost all of these models were destroyed in the High River Flood of 2013.
Please check my web site for more details. www.monster-hobbies.com I will be in a rebuilding stage for this army sometime soon. |
