The last from Eduard's I-16 trilogy.
This aircraft was the first captured by ARR during Barbarossa in 1941. It was repaired, and then flown for training most of the time by Cpt.Av. Popescu-Ciocanel. That's an excellent model. I especially like the grime underneath.
My take on the history of the real captured I-16 is that the Romanian Pilot realized it was junk compaired to our I.A.R. 80's and purposly crashed it so no one else could fly it. |
