Is this episode happened during the retreat of the Soviet Danube fleet from the Chilia Branch, then I believe they were sunk by 2nd Corps' artillery. However, this comes from my memory, as I am away from my books and will be for a while.

Hello Theo!
BKA No. 103 and BKA No. 501 were sunk by land artillery. Source: S.V. Bogatyrev "Poteri boevykh korablei i katerov VMF SSSR v period Velikoi Otechestvennoi vojny 1941-1945". Lvov, 1994. Best regards, Kirill |

Gentleman, I am interested in BKA TYPE PATROL BOATS, particulary I suspect that
there exist more than 2 subtypes of bka(1124 & 1125) some photos show what seem to be a 2 turreted, but shorter than 1125 (see distance betwen forward turret and bow)Would you be so kind as to suggest any source? Thank you in advance |
