I possess a Rapid Fire Romanian Army.
I have 3 battalions of Infantry (in metal from 3 different manufacterers)
The Bulk of my R2's (10 of them) and R1's (only 1) are ostmodels along with my 47mm ATG, 50mm pak and Resita 75mm battery (2 guns).
The 251's are plastic (I have the recon battalion)
I use a mixture of Russian and opel Blitz for trucks to mount my infantry.
My Engineer battalion (Flamethrowers are awesome in Rapid fire) is mounted in Soviet Zis trucks.
TACAMs are also Ostmodels (3 of)
i have 1/2 a cavalry regiment also (metal)

I have designed my army so that it can play early war 1941 with R2's
then 42 with Pz IIIN and PzIVF-2 mediums companies
43- I have 38t's and a Stuart. Captured at Ozerika
44- Stug III's, TACAMs, PZIV's.

Good luck, they are good fun and competitive vs Soviets.
PzIV's and resita are able to take on any heavy armour they have.

I will try to get in contact with the hobbyshop owner, however I'm not sure about the shipping of models from one counrty to another. It's a long way to go for a kit...more than 1/2 way around the world from Alberta to Romania! However, considering CDN dollar to ROM Lei, I should get a really good price on them. I just hope CDN Customs doesn't heap a big fee on it!

What I need to find is someone who imports AModel (And the other Russian/Czech/Eastern Europe made stuff) into Canada or the USA. Let that guy deal with international shipping, loss of items, customs, etc that go into dealing with people overseas. Once the items are here, on my continent, it's easier for me to have them shipped across country at wholesale prices and bring them into my store and charge my retail.

So far, in my internet searching, I've only been able to find AModel through European sources, be it from the Ukrane or England, as an example. I haven't found anything over here, say in Illinois or Ontario... which is what I need to find.

Sadly, there isn't a convienent "Wholesaller's list", like a telephone book of wholesalers I can open up and look at. Most wholesalers are quite secretive. They find you...you can't find them. Also, some hobby shops will tell you their wholesallers, others will not. It's taken me 6 years to get mine, and I know I still don't have enough.

But if I did get some of this stuff from AModel, I'm pretty sure I'd be exclusive in selling it. However, the question is : Do I have a large enough clientel to sell it to?

(Sorry guys. I hate to sound like a pain. It's just a gamble to get products. It's nice to know that something's a "Sure thing" before diving into it.)

@ King Arthur - I just sent him an E-mail, but I checked him out and his last post here was in 2008. His site also deals in Romanian Lei, which according to the money converter, is outdated currency. (It would be nice though...if I remember correctly, 21 Lei is = to $0.07 Cdn, which means I could buy his store out for $500! )

Also, not speaking Romanian, I sure hope I can deal with this guy. I can only "Translate" @ 50% of the web page, maily by clicking on pictures and figuring it out from there. (Stock and Stoc is the same, for example)

I also wonder how long it would take for somethign to come from there to here? 1 month- 2 months?

However, he sure has a lot of models in his inventory! It will be nice if this all works out!

It is true that some sites say Lei instead of RON ,the RON is the new Lei.
Some people still use the old money and also convert the new prices to the old Lei prices to sse how expensive something is...
So when you put ROn in your currency converter it will be like this:

€ 1 -> 4.27 Ron
CD$ 1 -> 3 RON
CD$ 1 -> € 0.70

So i'm sorry, you cannot buy his whole shop for $500 ...

Why don't you send e-mails to A-models and the other ones to see if they have an agent in Canada or USA ? Or maybe you can become an agent....

I was thinking of that. they are listed in Finescale Modler magazine, so they must have some credentials.
