Hi everyone,
I saw your forum while I was searching for pics of a bf-109 very dear to my heart, first a little about myself because its pretty rude to ask without some introduction I got into modeling from my father, The first kit I made myself was at the age of 8 or 9, a matchbox bf-109E4 and I wanted to make it with the Romanian markings, but I thought I'd make a big mistake on it so I promised myself I'd do it later when I could make it much better. That was about 13-14 years ago. When I found 1 Bf-109E4 kit in disarray (missing parts, like some sections of the wing, etc) it reminded me of that kit and the Romanian decals I still had. A couple days ago I found another Bf-109E4 Tamiya kit in a similar state, trashed canopy, missing 1 fuselage section, so I purchased it and rushed home hoping that it'd be the parts I needed to spruce up the other kit. Fortunatley it was, I decided I'd build a Romanian Bf-109E4 "Yellow" 65 with those decals for the upcoming group build on another forum (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the forums link so I'll withhold it for now So I ended up searching for pictures of it and this is what I've found so far (gathered from other people's pictures these are not mine and no copy right infringment is intended) (I noticed the imageshack upload tool, if this isn't the usual method, or something is off on the pictures, please let me know so I could edit it) The last picture is the only picture of the actual aircraft that I could find, my question for the Romanian modeling experts is: Are they're any more pictures of this aircraft that someone has and is willing to share ? If not, is there more history on this perticuler Bf-109? I know it was the mount of Ioan Galea, 12 confirmed kills (some sites say 10) and 2 probables. Thank you so much for any pics/info. P.S. I'll post the completed work when its done but I'd love to see if there are more pics of "Yellow 65" aircraft so I could get the model done as authentic to the original as possible. |

Thank you so much, I hope a couple more pics turn up or I'll have to guess the outcome of the wear on the other side
