Canteen Royal Guard?

Hello dear collectors! Need help in identifying the canteen found on the Romanian batle positions. It is the Romanian production? This canteen is often found together with brass strap buckles with the image of the corona, can they belonged to the elite units of equipment - the Royal Guard, the Border Guards?

No they are just one of the romanian types of canteens, these had no attachment system and were carried in the bread bag.

The belt buckle made from brass and with the crown is standard issue to the hole romanian army not specific to Royal Guard or border troops. And the Royal Guard was not a combatant unit so never on the eastern front.

Thank you for your response! You write that the Royal Guard was not involved in the fighting on the Eastern front, but there is information that the 1st Guard Division participated in the battles of Odessa?

Well the Royal Guard batallion is a different thing from the Guard Units (1st Guard Division) that fought in 1941 and 1944. The Royal Guard battalion was a guard unit that was derived from the foot gendarmes and defended the royal palace and the royal family. It was only involved in the arrest of Antonescu... and the 23 august events in Bucharest nothing more.

This type of canteen is as common as other romanian canteens used in WWII on the collectors market in romania. But the ones in good condition are extremely rare.
