Is there something written on the back?
Do you know the aproximate time or the place? (1910 to 1920?) They are very interesting pictures. Maybe the belt buckle, the dagger, the bag of the one photo can hep to indentify them. They are very outstanding accessoires. What I also realise: There are six bottoms, the collar is high, the cap is flat, and also the strange piece between body and arm is so markant that it should be possible to identify it. |

I think I found a very similar uniform on this genealogical site:
http://www.bukovinasociety.org/museum/ance...in-uniform.html I´m refering to the 2nd photo, it´s the picture of "Lorenz Welisch (1878-1917, son of Josef) Died in PO camp, Caucasus, Russia" At least it has the same structure on the shoulder, the same collar the same belt buckle (as far as I can identify it) and similar bottoms. Greetings. |

On the back is writen the name of the photograf and the place where it was taken "Brasov" . I will put soon more photos. All the pictures are from my familiy but I don't know who they are because the only one who know was my grandfather who died.

The second phot I think was taken before 1900 because the man with out the uniform died in 1912.

You are refering to the first one, aren´t you? (firtst Photo: two persons, second photo: one person)
BTW, if you know the name of the photograph maybe you can find out when he lived and worked, so you could find out the time. Maybe the adress still exists. I´m curious to see the other photos you want to post. Greetings |
