Infern deasupra Ploiestiului. Bombardamentul ameri, New book about TIDAL WAVE

In one week will be available at Editura Militara a new book about TIDAL WAVE: Infern deasupra Ploiestiului. Bombardamentul american de la 1 august 1943 by Valeriu Avram & Alexandru Arma. The book has about 500 pages and more than 150 photos.

,,Ideea care ne-a motivat scrierea acestei cãrți a fost aceea de a realiza un studiu istoric unitar, care sã redea bombardamentul de la 1 august 1943 atât din perspectiva atacatorilor cât și din cea a apãrãtorilor (în principal, aviația de vânãtoare și artileria AA române și germane), începând de la modul în care a fost inițiatã și planificatã misiunea și pânã la soarta prizonierilor americani în România. Pentru atingerea acestui obiectiv, am folosit atât lucrãrile menționate anterior, cât și cercetãrile proprii apãrute în publicații de specialitate, dar am pus în paginã și foarte multe informații inedite, provenite în special din arhivele românești dar și din cele strãine."

Just finished the book, and I must say that this is one heck of a nice book !!! Full of detailed info, and with very close attention to details.

Great book. This is the type of book in wish to publish. Very interesting and very detailed.

I have a short question. Why all the book cover related to this subject have almost the same subject: a B-24 in flight over ..something burning.
When some original cover for this subject?
