Hi, All you wrote is right. I would question only the statement about 1944, but as long you say "hoped", it's OK. He could hope anything any time, including winning a war in 1945 ( this is about Hitler). I add that Turkey sold chrome ore, very important for steel alloys, and that was the way Germany paid for it. But this does not contradict my idea: Germany offered to a neutral state modern weaponry, while her allies fighting for her did not get that modern equipment - in the moment I am talking about.
