Hallo Gents,

great pictures, please post more,

can somebody explain the gold bars,

worn on the ribbon of the Military Merit Medal?

Hopefully all had fun despite the "feeding" problems to the machine gun in the film clip

I was there today allso. I second C-2, the event really is getting better with every passing year. I wish to congratulate everyone involved, and let's hope that you will be able to attract a more and more diversified international participation in the following years.

Indeed, and this one takes the cake:

http://www.mapn.ro/fotodb/20080511/6_Unifo...de_Independenta

I see nothing in the way of "Independence War uniforms". Just two WW1 artillerymen, a Bulgarian Stormtrooper, a WW2 MG team, one Crimean War British Officer and a Highlander...

Anyway, this year's festivities were, in my humble opinion, the best ones yet, and I am deeply honoured to have been part of it.

Three cheers for the National Military Museum and all the people who dedicated a lot of time and effort into this event!

Hip hip, Hurray!

Hip hip, Hurray!

I just put Eric to sleep and I can write more.
Like all already wrote,it was nicer and more relaxing then previos years.
Kepi did a very good job by coordonating most of the activities.
Cristian did his job ,as usual ,with the firearms. That was the Cherry on the cake, like in all years.
Visitors of all ages had a lot of fun.
And fun was the intention...

Also I was suprise to see a flag with a swastica, and some modern days officers with big roung abdomens, that wouldn't fit any army in the world. A few weeks on field could do miracles on them.
