Allied bombings of Kishinev (Chisinau) - did they took place?

Lately i came across two mentions about Kishinev bombing by American aviation in 1944:
One - is some book (kind of memoirs), which says that in August 1944 Germans brought their troops and tanks in the Kishinev in order to send them to the east front (which was very close) as reinforcments.
Allies became aware of this so they bombed the part of the city where the German troops and tanks rested.

Other mention - is an eyewitness. He also says the the american bombings of Kishinev (Chisinau) did took place, but there wasn't any big concentration of German troops and tanks in the city at that time.

Needless to say that both of this mentions are not really trustworthy.

So the question is - did the Americans (or maybe someone else from allies, except Soviets) bombed the Kishinev (Chisinau) in 1944?

Thank you!

As you say, untrustworthy! AFAIK, no such stuff happened! Why would the USAF (or RAF) do that when they were busier - by far - with Ploieşti, in the same region (for them, in the same region, as there are more than 500 km in air from Ploieşti to Chişinău)? They lacked the reason for bombing a target so close to the soviets in 1944 - IMO, at least.

Well, it seems that in 1944 in Ukraine (Poltava and some more places) there were American Air Bases for so called "shuttle operations".
So they were close, very close to Soviets.
From these bases the American aviation bombed different targets (for example - in Hungary, or in Romania - railroad junctions near Cluj and Dej) - "Operation Frantic".
So, besides such important targets as oilfields in Ploiesti - the aviation had other stuff to bomb in that area.
But still i have no direct, trustworthy mention of Chisinau's bombings by Americans..
