Does anyone know when the romanian army started using the blue turret bands for some of their tanks?
The movie section show this on the Renault R-35 clip, one of the tanks also seem to be an camoflaged ex-polish example? Tony E. |

The blue band was a marking of the 2nd Tank Regiment. I do not know exactly when it was introduced. Probably in November 1939.

Thank you for that info. Is it known how long the use of this band was?
I`ve seen a painting of an TACAM R-2 portraying an example from 1944 with these bands aswell. Is it known if this is correct (say, photographic evidence exists or such)? |

Yes, there is photographic evidence. Even today, the last TACAM R-2 has it.
