According to this article:

http://www.sfin.ro/articol_17082/monedele_...ata_neagra.html

On the market there are fake Romanian euro coins: 1 euro with the bust of Mihai Viteazul and 2 euro with the bust of Stefan cel Mare. Has anyone seen these? It would be interesting to see how they look.

A fake is a reproduction of an original item.

These are at best representative of what Romanian Euro coins might look like in the future.

So they fall into the fantasy section.

There has been no decision by the National Bank of Romania,

as far as I am aware on what the Romanian Euro coins will really look like.

C'mon... Couldn't we just wait and see? Let's hope that some president (which I won't name, of course) will have kicked the bucket until we enter the Euro-Zone and we'll have his face on the coins.
PS: that was supposed to be fun!

OoT (slightly): do you think we'll ever personalize the future (so distant, now...) Romanian euro coin? Who'll be the chosen one(s)?

I'd love to see a Vlad Tepes coin.

That would be a great souvineer item for Dracula's Castle!
