From my memory "BW" translates in Romanian to Bijutier Weiss. That is not an exact translation, but the "B" has something to do with jeweler or insignia manufacturer. Sorry, but my Romanian is not that good, but BW is a Weiss mark. |

Thanks for explaining the "BW" mark. Jeweller is indeed Bijutier in Romanian. |

I found on a French site some of the hallmarks used by jewellers that manufactured Romanian awards:
- Artus Bertrand - a gear wheel surmounted by a star - Lemaitre - a mitre, a grenade with 4 flames |

The bottom one looks like the mark of the Paris Assay Office (a boar head according to Basic Hallmark Identification). |

The "A" on austrian-made badges means Main Mint office Wien (hauptmunzamt Wien)
