It is REGINA MARIA - 'R' class destroyer, it could carry 50 mines.

I do not know what you mean by that, but it is no doubt that this ship is an 'R' class destroyer, the ”Cipher of Queen Mary” can be easily seen, this identifies the destroyer as ”NMS REGINA MARIA”. Regards! Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

What could I possibly mean, other than asking whether the picture I found shows the same ship as the one in yours?!?!

They are both Regina Maria.
Another symbol that identified Regina Maria was an "Ace of Spade" painted on the prow. The "Ace of Spades" symbol can be seen on the lifeboat at 00:21. HTH Radu |

Hello to all,
On the reel from 00:24 you see NMS Carol ( with two backward guns 10,5 cm S.K. C/32 in 10,5 cm M.P.L. C/32 max.elevation of +50 degree ) , with a mixed equip compossed by romanian and german sailors . The lider of the operation ( with cronomether ) was an german Lt.Cd. See : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=674U9xVvi7Q&NR=1 and carefully observe the vent tugs, salvage boats and the two lines of mines protected by two "walls" that was introduced at the begining of the war on NMS Dacia ( Warships-1991, pag.101) and NMS Carol .
