Russian submarine found

As an answer on Cipiamon's question...

Yes you can call it an big event.

Some months ago divers from Aquarius dive center in Constanta found a Russian submarine from the second world war. We made only one dive till now because the weather don't allow us to come back for the moment. In our second attempt we will try to identify the sub.

Facts are: submarine is from the SC class and as far as my knowledge 3 candidates for it.

After study we have some points what we can investigate for maybe a positive identification.

Till we are finished with identification i will not tell were we found this submarine (except Black Sea - Romanian waters). Nothing to do with you guys but there are others from outside what read also this forum and honest i don't like people what don't do nothing by there own and afterwards play big with another’s information.

But i will come back as soon i have more news, finally everybody will know the fact's of this part of (sad) history.

In the meanwhile i will post some photo's what we made, unfortunately the quality is not that good because we had to deal with a lot of particles in the water, darkness and strong current.

Thanks for your respond about the Sc Submarine.
Some help is very appreciated and welcome.

The fact is that I’m interested in the SC206 – 208 and the 213.
Crew – history and some technical data is in the main points known by me.

Do you know what deck guns ( mm) were installed on the boats? (all 45mm?)

Are there specific different between the SC208 and SC213 what can be used for identification?
Both are same type and same yard number.

Maybe some other points of interest for identification?

Some days ago I made another visit to the wreck, we were equipped with filming and photo camera’s to make detailed footage.
But this time the strong current and very bad visibility played havoc with us. Unfortunately no new details from
my side.

Hello!

All three subs had quite good external diference between them. Sch-206 (V-bis-2 series) had "high" brige and two 45-mm guns. Sch-208 and Sch-213, as you know, both were of X series wuth "limousine"-style brige. Sch-208 (and Sc-209 - Sch-211) got 12,7-mm DShK MG instead of 45-mm aft gun some mounth before hostilities. Sch-212 - Sch-215 retained aft 45-mm gun.

Yes, it's indeed the SC-213, we came to this conclusion after our 2 years of investigation.
